HISTORY

Josh Daniel Hartnett was born in San Francisco on July 21st 1978, and was raised in St. Paul Minnesota. Josh found the love of acting when he was quite young. He landed several roles in various Minneapolis stage productions including "Into The Woods" at the Steppingstone Theater, "Tom Sawyer" at Children's Theater Company and "Freedom Riders" at the Youth Performance Center. In his younger ages he also found roles in many commercials.

Josh graduated from South High School in 1996. He traveled to the East Coast to attend the acting program at SUNY Purchase, New York, but got kicked out for slacking. In February of 1997, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue the film and television work. His first acting role on the hard-hitting ABC drama, "Cracker." This role is known as Josh's breakthrough performance, as it lined up many new roles for his future. In the show, Josh starred opposite Robert Pastorelli portraying Michael Fitzgerald, the troubled and misunderstood son of Gerry Fitzgerald (Pastorelli).

Josh may seem like another superstar in films, but on the inside he's just your normal guy. His messy hair and un-tucked shirts show it all. His favorite sports include Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey. Josh also enjoys relaxing and eating his favorite food, pizza. Since Josh's astrological sign is Cancer, he's one of the nicest guys around. He also fits into the category of "Mr. Romance". Josh is a great guy according to all the actresses he's worked with. All around Josh seems to be one of Hollywood's hottest young stars.
